I’ve had the book, Among the Lesser Gods, on my nightstand for about four months. It was not for the lack of time or desire,
When I asked my husband where this book came from, his memory was a little vague as to how we came to own a copy.
Labeled as a love story, I felt that this was so much more. It is a story of choices, faith, growth, resilience, and love. It’s about a man and a woman that faced many of the same challenges we see in our own lives, and how they chose to learn from them. I found it inspiring and well worth my time – I hope you do too!
If you are searching for choices that will bring greater wisdom and wholehearted living into your life I would suggest checking this book out.
The underlying message of The Magnolia Story is that no one is exempt from the growing pains of life. The one thing we do have control over is how we react and choose to handle those growing pains.
The people of this small town and its surrounding areas taught me that focusing on the needs of others, serving and giving are the best antidotes to any negative situation. Real people giving in a real way was very inspiring to me.
