When I first started blogging I was overwhelmed with all the products and services available in the online business world. I spent so much time trying to sort through them all. Social Media Scheduler
⇒Buffer is a time-saving tool to manage social media. I currently use their free version which allows me to schedule up to 10 posts on 3 different social media accounts. I spend about 30 minutes every week to schedule my posts and then I’m done. There is also a buffer button you can install on your browser which allows you to easily send something you want to share to your schedule. I’ve tried a lot of different social media managers and this has been my favorite so far.
⇒Tailwind is a Pinterest scheduler. It’s the best way to save time on Pinterest! They not only offer scheduling, smart looping, and tribes for Pinterest, but they also have scheduling and hashtag searches for Instagram. One of the best blogging investments.
⇒I use Mailerlite to manage my email subscriptions. They are by far the BEST. Lowest price with the most options. They offer landing pages, automation for funnels, and a variety of subscribe forms as well as customized newsletters. Moving your current subscribers is simple and takes only a few clicks. Their customer service people are wonderful. Always so ready to answer my silly questions. I couldn’t recommend them enough.
⇒I use SiteGround for hosting. I made the move and haven’t looked back. When the white screen of death made its appearance right after changing my theme, SiteGround’s support team had me back up and running in 6 minutes! They have awesome 24/7 support, they are faster and safer, and are the preferred host for WordPress sites. Their price is affordable but they offer so much more than the other discount bargain hosting options. My improved site speed and their customer service have made the move totally worth it!
Tools, Plug-Ins, and Themes
⇒Grammarly is a comprehensive tool to catch the most nagging grammar errors. There is a free version that helps with spelling and punctuation. The business version has helped me with word choice, passive voice and made my writing more cohesive. ⇒WP Tasty Pins is a WordPress plugin to optimize your SEO and Pinterest. It was the first and only plugin I’ve ever paid for but has been worth every penny. It has saved me time, improved my Pinterest strategy, and helped my SEO. You can read more about WP Tasty Pins here.
⇒ShareASale is where the majority of my affiliate marketing is through. They do all the management of my different accounts and offer a wide variety of vendors who are looking for affiliates to join their program. If you’re looking to become an affiliate for some of your favorite products this is a great place to start.
⇒My Theme Shop was where I found my theme — Feminine. I stuck with a free theme for the first two years and realized it was dragging my load time and I was also missing out on some functionality and features.
